If a driver gets caught driving without being insured in the state of Alabama they will suspend the driver's vehicle registration until proof is provided, and the driver will have to pay a reinstatement fee of $100. If the driver is a repeat offender they will receive a four month suspension and have to pay a $200 reinstatement fee after they have supplied a current insurance card.
